Mindful Business
“Wellness programs like Mindfulness & Yoga should no longer be considered a “nice-to-have” for executives or leaders. It’s a “must-have”: a way to keep our brains healthy, to support self-regulation and effective decision-making capabilities, and to protect ourselves from toxic stress.

AN INVESTMENT FOR GUATEMALAN SUCCESS
Creating emotionally and mentally successful youth.
Mindful Guatemala offers a wide range of fee-based private programs that make it possible for us to provide unique one-year mindfulness programs to at-risk, underserved children and youth in Guatemalan schools and other non-profits organizations, working to train not only the students, but also teachers and staff how to integrate social, emotional and mental well-being strategies through mindfulness in education. An essential goal of Mindful Guatemala is to ensure the sustainability and impact of mindful-awareness practices within the organizations by training qualified individuals as facilitators through our Mindful Teachers training.
All students benefit from learning how to cope with stressful situations, but children living in situations of poverty, malnutrition, sexual and physical violence, alcoholism, etc., are in particular need of learning healthy coping skills. Many of the schools we partner with are charter schools that have a rigorous curriculum and students at these schools are often the first ones in their families to receive formal education which adds greater pressure and challenges.
The skills taught by Mindful Guatemala support students in deepening self-awareness, building resilience, promoting self-regulation, strengthening family connections and reducing stress, which helps to improve academic performance, make wiser decisions and increase peace and overall well-being.
We need your help to spread the benefits of mindfulness throughout these communities and have created our private programs as a tangible way that you can not only support our social programs, but also learn the valuable skills of mindfulness and how to apply them in your own life and those around you, helping to promote the practice of mindfulness throughout Guatemala.
