Mindfulness and meditation are transformative practices that nurture soft skills like emotional intelligence, self-awareness, focus, and resilience. These skills bring calm and balance into our lives, helping us manage stress and navigate life’s challenges with greater ease.
Mindful Guatemala is a non-governmental organization dedicated to making mindfulness education accessible to all. We believe that everyone deserves the chance to develop these essential skills, which are foundational to a person’s social, emotional, and mental well-being. Through selling private programs, we are able to give back to the community, focusing on training teachers in the SEE Learning® (Social, Emotional, and Ethical Learning) method. This approach integrates mindfulness and emotional intelligence practices into classrooms each week, empowering educators and students alike to develop social-emotional competencies that encourage personal growth and contribute to a global culture of compassion.
Our vision is to create a lasting impact, especially within vulnerable communities, by providing emotional and mental learning opportunities to everyone—not just those with financial means.
PRIVATE PROGRAMS
Until recently, the practice of mindfulness has been an individual choice; people have sought to gain greater self-understanding, or re-order their hectic minds. However the advent of corporate interest has been spurred by an awareness that happy, balanced people make a stronger workforce.
Happy, balanced people live healthier lives and make a stronger community has spurred both corporate and general public interest.
Check out our variety of private programs to learn the valuable skills of mindfulness and stress management and help us giving back to community.

SOCIAL PROGRAMS
Unique one-year mindfulness programs serve the at-risk, under-served children and youth in Guatemalan schools and other non-profits organizations, working to train not only the students, but also teachers and staff how to integrate social, emotional and mental well-being strategies through mindfulness in education.
Through our social programas we train teachers how to integrate social and emotional well-being strategies through mindfulness into education. This investment in the mental, emotional, and social wellness of both educators and students paves the way for a more compassionate and peaceful community. I recommend Mindful Guatemala's business program to anyone looking to improve teamwork, emotional management, stress reduction and to handle difficult conversations and improve well-being in general! The facilitators are very sure of what they teach and are very professional. They give and stimulate a lot of confidence, are very charismatic and their passion for mindfulness and for sharing it is evident.

My experience with Mindful Guatemala has been through a course my son recently took [Mindful Kids & Teens Program]. I enrolled him because he tends to lose attention and gets angry very easily. And he has loved the course. I also received feedback during the course and afterwards, people would comment on my son being more serene and affectionate. Of course, it is a team effort, but I feel the course was very helpful for us. It motivates me to continue involving him in these types of opportunities. Once again, thank you Mindful Guatemala.

I learned so much in a few weeks [in the 8 Week Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Program]! Much more than I expected. Today, I am more aware of the small, but big details that surround me. I can appreciate them and be grateful for them. My goal at the beginning was to know myself, and today I can say that I am on that path. I now have the necessary tools to accept myself and be better with myself to give my best.
